Meet Ketty Steward, author of the poem Elles saignent [They bleed], displayed on Bétonsalon’s windows until 27 June. The poem is drawn from her science-fiction short story collection Saletés d’hormones et autres complications [Hormonal Messes and Other Complications] published by Éditions Goater.
Elles saignent is the third poem in 5 Poems for S. (2026), a project by Jagna Ciuchta with Noah Truong, Stéphanie Garzanti, Ketty Steward and Léa Cuenin. The poems are successively inscribed in Meudon whitewash on the windows of Bétonsalon’s façade. This series resonates with Sandra Lahire’s exhibition “Overexposed, Like an X-Ray”, whose exhibition design was created by Jagna Ciuchta, and continues the legacy of BONJOURSINOUSDISCUTIONS by Sylvie Fanchon, a site-specific work commissioned and initiated in 2021.
