Elles saignent (They Bleed) by Ketty Steward is the third poem of 5 Poems for S., 2026, a project by Jagna Ciuchta in collaboration with Noah Truong, Stéphanie Garzanti, Ketty Steward, and Léa Cuenin.
This poem is taken from the science fiction short stories collection Saletés d’hormones et autres complications by Ketty Steward, published by Éditions Goater in 2023.

In connection with Sandra Lahire’s exhibition “Overexposed, like an X-ray”, for which she designed the exhibition display, and following on from Sylvie Fanchon’s BONJOURSINOUSDISCUTIONS (a 2021 commission for a ‘site-specific work’), Jagna Ciuchta has invited four poets to take part in this project. Their poems are inscribed one after another in the Blanc de Meudon on the windows of Bétonsalon’s facade.
