In Zéros+Uns, Sadie Plant offers a counter-history of the relationship between gender and technology. Blending social criticism, cyberculture, and speculative writing, the book develops a cyberfeminist perspective by revealing the essential yet overlooked role of women in computer science, from Ada Lovelace to anonymous female programmers. Plant deconstructs the man/machine dichotomy and reimagines digital culture through a number of categories: fluidity, interconnection, and plasticity. Through its experimental form and theoretical approach, the book explores the liberating potential of cyberculture to transform power dynamics and identity.
Zeros + Uns: Women, Digital Technology, Technoculture makes this pioneering text—a cornerstone of the cyberfeminist movement—available to French-speaking readers. It is indeed a landmark work in the field of gender studies, technology, and cyberculture.

A method of collective reading that originated in the workers’ struggle, surveying is a way for several people to discover a book, with a view to its critical appropriation.
