As part of the “Young Mediators Program,” a 9th-grade class at Henri Wallon Middle School (Aubervilliers) explored Jean-Alain Corre’s exhibition “Hibou TV Show” with the goal of presenting it to another class.
• The Young Mediators Program:
The 9th-grade class was invited to explore Jean-Alain Corre’s exhibition, research the artist, and design and lead a guided tour for another class from the middle school that visited the art center for a group presentation.
• The Workshop:
As part of Jean-Alain Corre’s exhibition—designed to resemble a television set—Lisa Lecuivre led a workshop exploring the construction of media images. Through staging, camera work, and discourse, the workshop examined the mechanisms of television production, questioning the spread of fake news and playing with the aesthetics of fun facts. Participants were invited to immerse themselves in this collective experience, to experiment with the conventions of television, and to question how information is constructed and performed. The workshop resulted in several original short television segments filmed within the exhibition’s set.
Lisa Lecuivre
Lisa Lecuivre was born in 1997 in Paris; she lives and works between Paris and Brussels. She is a graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris and studied in the studios of Julien Prévieux and Dove Allouche. A graduate of a school of journalism and theater, her hybrid practice draws as much from the conventions of documentary as from those of performance art. She explores areas of ambiguity, fragmented narratives, and dissonant logics—and is drawn to what eludes immediate interpretation. Drawing on anecdotes, news items, or chance encounters, she constructs frameworks in which reality wavers, distorts, and reinvents itself. The voice, a frequent element in her work, becomes a vehicle for free associations, shifts in meaning, and almost hallucinatory mental projections. She questions the need for meaning while cultivating forms of aporia: when the accumulation of information prevents any clear stance from being taken. Her work seeks not so much to settle disputes as to reveal the complexity of the world, with all its tensions, contradictions, and oddities.
