Inspired by the Sailing for Geeks expeditions organised by Nathalie Magnan in 2004 and 2005, this workshop aims to combine maritime navigation and digital technologies through the creation of a compass using a micro:bit board. Through this workshop, kids and adults alike will discover how an iconic navigation tool can be recreated using an accessible programming device, exploring concepts such as course, direction, and reading the cardinal points.
