The Bétonsalon team invites you to a guided tour of the exhibition “L’Indomptable Main” by Dutch artist Hedwig Houben during the Treize’Estival. The exhibition takes as its starting point a personal anecdote: it all began on the day when the artist spoke in public… and her hand was seized by a sudden, uncontrolled tremor. From this experience of losing control of oneself, where the body expresses itself faster than speech, Hedwig Houben draws a broader reflection on the injunction to sociability and productivity: the Hand prefers improvisation and rambling.
