Louisa Yousfi is a journalist and writer. She is the author of Rester barbare (La Fabrique, 2022), a book in which she takes up the theme of “barbarism”—borrowed from the Algerian writer Kateb Yacine—to offer a narrative that is both political and literary about the (re)emergence of barbarism among Black and Arab people in France. She recently published La Grande Méthode (La Fabrique, 2026), written during her year as a resident at the Villa Medici: centered on the story of an Algerian immigrant family traveling to bury their father back home, she crafts a novel about secrecy and exile.

Virginie Bobin holds a doctorate in artistic research (PhD-in-Practice from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, 2023) and has been teaching art and social practices at Ésadhar in Rouen since 2024. She is a co-founding member of the Qalqalahقلقلة platform. Her work lies at the intersection of research, curatorial and editorial practices, writing, pedagogy, and translation, with a particular interest in performance, experimental forms of artistic research, the role of art, artists, and art institutions in the public sphere, and formats that go beyond the exhibition. From 2009 to 2018, she worked for art centers and artist-in-residence programs in France and abroad (Villa Vassilieff, Bétonsalon—Center for Art and Research, Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, and the Performa Biennial). She recently published L’interprète dis/paraît (Scriptings, Berlin, 2026) and Désaprendre en traduisant – Une pratique critique et collective (Villa Arson, 2025).
