Lucie Taïeb is a writer, translator, and professor of contemporary literature and creative writing at the University of Orléans. Her research focuses on writing about environmental change, as well as the perception and representation of material flows and waste. In 2020, she published Freshkills. Recycler la terre (La contre allée, 2020), a documentary narrative in which she poetically explores the history of one of the world’s largest open-air landfills. Her latest novel, La mer intérieure (Flammarion, 2024), tells a choral narrative tracing the history of villages in former East Germany that were razed to make way for mines, which have since been converted into a lake.

Marik Froidefond is a poet and lecturer in comparative literature at Paris Cité University. Together with Cyril Vettorato, she heads the PAVO (Poetry, Voice Arts, and Orality) research track at the CERILAC laboratory. Her work focuses on 20th-century and contemporary poetry and on the relationships between poetry and the arts (particularly music and painting). She has published a book of poetry, Oyats (L’atelier contemporain, 2019), and, together with Delphine Rumeau, edited a book on poetic and artistic tombs (Tombeaux poétiques et artistiques, PUR, 2020).

Cyril Vettorato is a senior lecturer at Université Paris Cité, where he teaches comparative literature and ethnopoetics. Together with Marik Froidefond, he leads the PAVO axis (Poésies, Arts de la Voix et de l’Oralité / Poetries, Voice and Orality Arts) within the CERILAC laboratory. His research focuses on poetry and orality in contemporary Afro-Caribbean diasporas, particularly within performative poetic practices (rap, jazz, spoken word, etc.). He has published poetry (in the journal Boxon, Journal des Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers) and translated Anglophone poets. He is the author of Un monde où l’on clashe (Editions des Archives contemporaines, 2008) and Poésie moderne et oralité dans les Amériques noires (Classiques Garnier, 2018).
