    A collaboration between Villa Vassilieff, Bétonsalon – Center for Art and Research and Cité internationale des arts

    Traverses (Byways) is a res­i­dency pro­gram col­lec­tively orga­nized by Bétonsalon – Center for Art and Research, Villa Vassilieff and Cité inter­na­tionale des arts. Every year, it enables artists and for­eign cura­tors to come to Paris and to accom­pany them in their researches. The pro­gram stresses on encoun­ters and cross-dis­ci­plines, facil­i­tates the con­sul­ta­tion of rare or not easily acces­sible res­sources, thus encour­aging "byways" between art pro­fes­sionals, objects of knowl­edge and diverse publics.

    Traverses gives the guest artists and cura­tors the pos­si­bility to share their cur­rent researches thanks to pro­gram­ming (exhi­bi­tions, sem­i­nars, work­shops, con­fer­ences) between Villa Vassilieff, Bétonsalon – Centre d’art et de recherche and Cité inter­na­tionale des arts.
