    The French film archives of the CNC, Paris Diderot University and the Bibliothèque nationale de France organise a study day focusing on the pioneer of sci­en­tific cinema Jean Comandon. In par­tic­ular, great impor­tance will be accorded to the impres­sive films cre­ated by the cin­e­matog­ra­pher on the devel­op­ment of plants in the begin­ning of the 1930s. This study day will be fol­lowed by the screening of films restored by the French film archives, accom­pa­nied by live music.

    Participants : Roxane Hamery, Thierry Lefebvre, Béatrice de Pastre and others to be con­firmed.

    For this ses­sion of Midideux (encoun­ters with the stu­dents of University Paris Diderot) Julie Ramage with the col­lab­o­ra­tion of Sylla Saint-Guily pro­poses an inter­ven­tion through pho­tog­raphy and prac­tice in the exhi­bi­tion Innerspace - Jean Comandon / David Douard on the camera obscura and its illu­sions : mental images, images of the devil.

    :: 6.30pm - screening of The Fantastic Voyage (1966)

    In the first part of the pro­gramme, a film con­cerning sci­en­tific research, directed by stu­dents of the Master
    in Scientific Journalism at the University Paris Diderot, will be screened and dis­cussed. The second part will
    pre­sent the Oscar-win­ning science fic­tion film The Fantastic Voyage by Richard Fleischer, which fol­lows a team
    of minia­turised sci­en­tists in a human body.
